The cheapest company package can become the wrong purchase if it doesn't cover your activity, visa plan or office needs. Compare IFZA, DMCC and Meydan using the same operating brief before comparing their headline offers.

This is general information. Your CPA and counsel confirm the details for your case.

Define what the company must do

Write down your activities, owners, customers and expected residence requirements. Separate what you need immediately from what you may add later. A zero-visa company and a package intended to support several residents are different proposals, even when both are described as a Dubai setup.

Keep incorporation, residence and banking as separate workstreams in the comparison. DMCC states that bank-account opening is separate from licensing and subject to the bank's own compliance checks. A licence offer should therefore identify banking support as support, not as a completed account or an approval promise. 1

IFZA works through professional partners

IFZA is headquartered at IFZA Business Park in Dubai Silicon Oasis and operates a business-to-business model through Professional Partners. Its package pricing is quoted through partners; IFZA does not publish package prices on its official site. Request an itemized quote rather than treating an unattributed online amount as an official IFZA tariff. 2

IFZA describes packages tiered by visa allocation, with upgrades charged at the fee difference. It typically permits up to three business activities per licence, doesn't require paid-up share capital at the start, and describes office space as optional. Match those features to your actual activity and residence plan before choosing a tier. 3

Incorporation is digital, using e-signatures, and a zero-visa package is available. Adding a visa later requires a UAE visit for medical tests and Emirates ID. That lets you separate incorporation from relocation, but it doesn't remove the personal steps when you decide to obtain residence. 4

DMCC publishes packages with specific inclusions

DMCC's published packages distinguish an individual-shareholder Basic Biz option from Jump Start options with different workspace arrangements and terms. Its package descriptions identify visa inclusion and eligibility rather than treating every visa reference as the same benefit. Read those fields separately in your quote. 5

DMCC says its own setup is digital and typically takes around two to three weeks. Treat that as DMCC's stated company-setup timing, not a deadline for your bank account or a guarantee covering every application. Its own comparison describes DMCC costs as relatively high against other Dubai free zones. 6

The authority publishes package amounts in dirhams. For a USD budget, request a dated quote with the conversion basis stated and confirm the current figure before payment. Include the same workspace, licence term and visa scope in every comparison so a lower total isn't simply a smaller package.

Meydan emphasizes digital speed

Meydan advertises online setup within twenty-four hours and an instant Fawri licence in sixty minutes. Those are the provider's advertised licensing offers, not an end-to-end promise covering residence, bank approval or the time needed to resolve a document issue. Keep the application and its conditions attached to any promised timetable. 7

Its published FAQ describes a zero-visa LLC-FZ licence with a lease agreement and three groups of business activities. It distinguishes suggested share capital from the separate capital requirement for an investor or partner visa. Confirm the current figure and the applicable route before assuming the zero-visa company terms also satisfy a later residence application. 8

Meydan also advertises non-resident banking access without relocating or visiting the UAE. Evaluate the proposed bank product separately against its ownership, residency and compliance criteria. The free-zone offer doesn't replace the bank's decision. 7, 1

What this means for you

There isn't a useful winner until the scope is fixed. IFZA's partner model, DMCC's published package choices and Meydan's advertised digital offers can be compared against your brief. They shouldn't be ranked using prices that cover different activities, workspaces, visa allocations or licence periods.

The quote should make exclusions as clear as inclusions. Identify the formation work, authority charges, workspace, immigration arrangements and optional assistance. Then request the recurring cost on the same basis. Don't infer a renewal price from a first-year promotion or assume every reference to a visa includes the same services.

What to do this month

  • Prepare one operating brief and send the same requirements to each provider. Include the exact activities, ownership arrangement and intended visa allocation.
  • Obtain IFZA pricing through a Professional Partner, and compare it with dated DMCC and Meydan offers. Require each proposal to identify what is included and excluded.
  • Separate company timing from residence appointments and bank approval. Put the decision-maker and outstanding documents beside each milestone.
  • Build first-year and renewal budgets using the same scope. Confirm current figures and the currency basis before you approve a USD total.

The FNC angle

Once the activity and compliance requirements are clear, FNC can help frame the choice around how you intend to operate. The banking and residency plan should fit the company selected, with the obligations and costs understood before implementation. Start with that fit. A fast licence or a low opening quote is useful only if it supports the business you are building.
